Gehres and Laura Weed have operated the music school in downtown Spruce Grove since 1992.
Before 1992 Gehres was the Band Director at Stony Plain Jr. High, Memorial Composite High School, Stony Plain Elementary and Meridian Heights school starting in 1981. Laura taught at Forest Green School for one year before staying at home and raising her daughter and teaching privately.

Weed Music offers professional music instruction in piano, guitar, violin (fiddle), and singing.
- LESSONS: Weekly half hour or hour private lessons from September through June of each year
- TEACHERS: Qualified, experienced, and patient teachers
- GREAT LOCATION: Weed Music is conveniently located on McLeod Avenue in Spruce Grove
- HOURS: Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM – 8:30 PM (Sept – June) & 2:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. (July & August)
- RECITALS: In addition to two recitals each year, Weed Music students also have opportunities to perform in concerts, festivals, talent shows, and other events.
- ONLINE PROGRESS REPORTS: Weed Music offers online progress reports so that students can view their weekly lesson assignments and keep track of their musical growth and progress.
- TUITION: 2010-2011 tuition ranges from $70.00 / mo. to $80.00 / mo. depending on the teacher qualifications.
- FALL REGISTRATIONS are on now for currently registered students. New student registrations begin in mid July.
